From the present to the future
There are no official bathing places in Oxford now, so anyone swimming outdoors does so at their own risk. This, combined with river pollution from active sewage releases and agricultural run-off, makes river swimming in the present day inaccessible to many.
As part of the exhibition, we invited people to imagine the future of river swimming in Oxford as part of two workshops: My Pool or Yours? Ownership and Design of Bathing Places and Postcards to the Future.
