Polvoron ('Pulboron') moulder

Subject

This object is used to mould polvoron - a known pudding/sweet/candy in the Philippines enjoyed by everyone. Made simply with any kind of flour, milk, sugar, butter, all joined and then moulded to produce the lovely delicacy.

This moulder belongs to Gigi Yebra; listen to her talking about it in the audio recording.

The artwork was created by Gigi during a Mixing Matters workshop, run by local artist Dionne Freeman.

Acquired in 1980 in the Visayas Region, Philippines.
