‘After the Disco’ – an adventure through the soundscape to explore what it’s like to be LGBTIQA+ in Oxford
We used words and sounds to think about the spaces we live in; at home, work or in public, and how they affect how we feel about ourselves and how we interact with the world.
We sampled objects found in the exhibition, layering noises and rhythms to create a soundscape. This soundscape was paired with spoken word and singing developed throughout the workshop. T
he workshop was led by the Young Women’s Music Project and architecture and design cooperative Transition by Design.
