Alt text

A coloured, hand-drawn plan of Chub Corner bathing place, showing both a 3D view of the bathing place and a 2D, top-down blueprint-style view. The title of the plan reads: 'City of Oxford. Proposed bathing place at Chub Corner.' The scale of the 3D plan is shown to be 10 feet to one inch. The 2D plan, which takes up the majority of the image, is at a scale of 20 feet to one inch. A semi-circle structure encircles a grassy area before the river, which is annotated as the River Cherwell. The grassy area is divided by 'concrete paths' and a section of the river is marked out at 2-feet deep for 'non-swimmers'. The semi-circle structure delineates 100 individual cubicles, 50 for women on the left hand side, and 50 for men on the right hand side, with separate, shared changing areas marked for girls and boys.
